Ive had it occur twice when unexpectedly my Samsung note 10 running Eternity ROM v5.5 will boot loop.  So far I have found the least destructive fix is the following:

Boot to recovery mode.  Wipe the Delvik Art and Cache volumes. Then file manager and browse to a folder named data, then open folder named appex,Then open folder named active. Delete all the the files from folder named active..

Then reboot.
